Nelson Pass V1.6 ACA amp. Brand new, fully assembled

I have 2, brand new, just assembled, Pass ACA, class A amps. IF YOU WANT THE PAIR TO USE IN BRIDGED MODE, CHOOSE QUANTITY OF 2 WHEN PURCHASING. These are the complete V1.6 kits, including chassis and the larger 24 vdc power supply. Both have about 4 hours burn in time.

Nelson Pass designed class A amp. This is not a class A/B or a class A until a set output, this is a pure class A amp for it's entire output range. These amps can be bridged. The output into 8 ohms is 8 watts per channel RMS in stereo and 15 watts RMS into 8 ohms, bridged. The unit has a single XLR input for bridged operation or you can use one of the RCA inputs when bridged.

I connected these to a pair of small JBL 4401 Control Monitors (6 woofer). In stereo mode they got loud enough enough for any listening I'd want to do.

Using the pair in bridged mode, they could be heard throughout the house and probably at my neighbors as well. Add some larger, more efficient speakers and I'm sure you'll seldom have this past their 1/2 way mark. 8 watts is loud, 15 watts is really up there.

Try connecting a watt meter to your present amp and turn it up until you hit 8 or 15 watts, I think you'll be surprised. Both are silver face, one has red LEDs, the other blue. These units get hot as all class A amps do.

Even with the 1/2 aluminum face it is very warm to touch when on. You'll need to go directly to Mean Well if you have an issue with the power supply or Hi Fi 2000 if you have an issue with the chassis. The item "Nelson Pass V1.6 ACA amp.
