HOn30 HOe OO9 Brass & Whitemetal 0-8-0 Steam Loco Kit (fully assembled chassis!)

Comes with fully assembled & tested chassis! This unique HO scale, narrow gauge 0-8-0 steam locomotive kit is offered for sale. This wonderful narrow gauge 0-8-0 kit features a 40:1 double reduction gearbox for smooth, low speed running.

Two different smokestack styles are included to fit to the heavy cast metal boiler which makes this locomotive look closer to the 2'6 gauge prototype, one of which is displayed outside Taipei Main Station in Taiwan. Although the instructions are in Japanese, this is a relatively easy kit to assemble with excellent photos.

Best assembly results are achieved with liquid flux & low melt solder. HO scale, narrow gauge (9mm gauge) 0-8-0 Steam Locomotive kit. This etched brass & whitemetal kit requires assembly & painting. The kit includes a fully assembled & tested 0-8-0 chassis. For 9mm gauge track (N scale track works fine).

Couplings are not included in the kit. 12v, 5 pole DC motor running through a 40:1 double reduction gearbox.

All four axles are gear driven. One axle is fitted with traction tyres.

This chassis will successfully negotiate standard Kato 117mm (4 1/2) radius curves. The optional brass cab crew grab-rails as seen in the photos can be supplied (POA). The optional sand pipes were fitted by the builder (not part of the standard kit).

Crew seen in the photos are not included in the kit. The brass window inserts are separate etchings so can be fitted after painting. Several additional etched brass numerals are included in in the kit - round & square form factor.

Motor connections can easily be accessed for DCC applications. Suitable for HOe, OO9 and HOn30 applications. This HOn30 locomotive weighs in at a remarkable 85g! Height: (above track) 34mm (1 3/8).
