CMI Segmented CAT40, 20 Tool Changer Assembly. Designed to retrofit & upgrade the HAAS VF Series Tool Changer Assembly. Haas VF Series Machining Centers are wonderful, except the Tool Changer Carousel cracks, & breaks into worthless pieces after a crash. Then the expensive repair and days of down time come next.
There are 346 individual parts to reassemble after everything is cleaned and new parts arrive count at least 5 more hours to reassemble, then another crash comes along so the nightmare starts again. The tool changer door springs are stainless steel. Beyond those details we designed our extractor keys, and fingers larger than the OEMs for greater support and added a chamfer to the extractor finger at the initial point of contact to reduce long term wear.
